Hi Claudio, First of all, TCIP is the standard internet protocol used by every networking programmer in the world. Just about every game I know of, including those using DirectPlay, uses TCIP connections. Second of all, DirectPlay is not an internet protocol. It is an out dated, unsupported, network API that is used only by total newbies or lazy programmers that don't want to pick up a book and read something else more current/up to date. Third, DirectPlay is Windows only technology. If X-Sight wants to make pocket games for mobile devices they have to use something more universal, and that generally means using standard TCIP programming techniques. Cheers.
