Agreed, some of those features sound nice, though at least things are playable.

Also while personally I'm okay with text highlighting menues, I do wonder if it'd be worth adding a greater than sign to the highlighted choice to save people having to check the colour of text to know which choice in menues is selected as well, particularly for navigation of the more complex menue screens such as the character editer.

I'm glad I was able to fix the text chopping problem.
Theres still the issue remaining with the graphical version of the hall, some features like the casino aren't available in the text version, still hopefully frank will get back to me on that one.

It fixes the text chopping issue, thanks.

the crash I managed to fix earlier by basically manually recetting all my console window settings to the ones on my laptop.

I've actually played through the first adventure, and it was a fun litle dungeon crawl which gave me a magic sword.

Can you elaborate on what exactly is fixed? do my changes stop the text from being chopped off at the end, or does it fix the crash?
Thanks.

it's a 40 column display. That's why your screenreader can't handle it properly.
There are some changes you'll need to make to one of the bas files.
edit the file eamondx.bas and search for the following line of text

SCREEN 0: WIDTH 40: CLS : COLOR 4, 0
Change it to:
SCREEN 0: WIDTH 80: CLS : COLOR 4, 0

Well, the good news is I've fixed my crash in Eamon delux, by the symple procedure of copying all the console windows settings in my laptop which I haven't monkied around with.

The problem remains though, while reading the text is fine, stuff is stil getting chopped off the right edge of the window.

Sinse for some reason hal simply can't interact with the thing in full screen mode, ---- and my efforts at modifying the console window size didn't exactly go very well, I'd deffinately appreciate some advice here.
