You might try the free games at www.l-works.net. Not all o them are free but there are a few and they're easy to locate. They'realso fairly simple to learn if you tke the time to read the manuals once you download them, yet they're challenging enough so you shouldn't lose interest too quickly. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Anthony Vitale" <avital...@prodigy.net>

Thanks again Ron,
It seems as if you really do understand my confusion. I want to thank you for your time and effort to assist me. Can you offer the name of a free starter game not like the kitchen games I have got the hang of those. Maybe something similar to the things that happen like scavanging in the text games.
Thanks Tony

Hey Tony

I noticed your other post on the games so I'll attempt to help out and
answer your questions. It is one thing for those of us who have been here
to see the evolution of audio gaming and completely different for someone
whose just starting out. We were all there at one time with lots of
questions and few answers.

do the games cost?

Ron
Indeed some of the games are commercial meaning you do need to by a
registration code. However there will always be a demo that you can try out
first to see how you like the game before buying it.
There are also Some very good fre games available as well.

Anthony asked
do they run by them selves or do you need to download some special
something

Ron
In some cases such as Rail Racer, or Mota you do need spacific software
installed to run the games correctly.

Anthony asked
do you have to sign up to a special something to be able to download
All the games I can think of with only one exception can be downloaded
directly from the correct website. Some game developers do have newsletters
you can sign up for but it's completely optional.

As for on the Audio games site, I use the option going by game title then
going to select or go whichever they call it. Then a page should be there
with a description of the game and other details. On the page there should
indeed be a download link.
Another good resource you might want to try is

http://www.pcsgames.net

It's I think the second link called "Fantastic games and where to find
them" The next page then provides the developers name with a little
description of the games.
Lastly checking out the Audyssey magazine is a good point to begin. The
magazine discusses games accessible to the blind or visually impaired and
there are currently 54 issues.

Take care
Ron
