But the problem comes when it has to emulate it. Emulating a system is no easy task. Emulating the play station 2 takes way more cpu power than the regular system itself - double, or tripple, the power, to actually emulate the thing.
The ps3 will require a quad core computer, most likely.

2 gigs of ram should be plenty though. not even the most advanced sighted 3 d games make use of 4 yet, so I am pretty sure that a mere emulatur for an old game system should be able to run smoothly with less than that.
