Has anyone ever created an accessible basketball game? I've always wanted to play one. Thanks.

Hi Phil and Jim,
My wife has a basketball game and the way it is done is you control
one player and the rest are handled via AI driven players. So the way
that game is done you are not really concerned with all of the players
but your own. It would be fairly easy to create a basketball, socker,
etc type of game using that design.

Hi Jim,
You said,
I still have no idea how to make a game where you are controlling and moving constantly multiple players such as in Hockey, Basketball, Soccer, Goalball
etc.

I have two suggestions.
1. you can control multiple players if the game is turn based such as in
Entombed.
Of course this would not be as exciting as it wood slow down the game quite
a bit as you would have to describe the current player's position in
relation to the ball, the other friendly players and the opponent players.

2. Electric football mode.
This is a game where you set the little felt based players on a football
field made of vibrating metal.
When you start the field vibrating, the players would move and either block
the opponent players or run free . The base of each player was slanted so
the player would normally move in a forward direction.
A computer version would allow you to position your players in an x y grid
then start the play running.
An artificial intelligent function would move all the players and when two
opponents touched, would pick a random number to determine which won the
hit.
If one of the players had the ball the roll would determine if the player
got free or was down.
Of course this would work only with running plays not passing plays.

Not perfect but in either way might make an interesting game.
Phil
