Hello Clement,
The levers unlock various statues and certain doors on the level.
However, just because a lever is close to a certain door or statue
doesn't mean that is the one it necessarily unlocks. That's part of
the game's puzzle element. So to unlock a certain door or statue you
must unlock its lever somewhere else on the level.
