Thanks, but why do I sometimes just get the low beep sounds, then tracking goes off and I end up losing the ships? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hayden Presley" <hdpres...@hotmail.com> To: "'Charles Rivard'" <woofer...@sbcglobal.net>; "'Gamers Discussion list'" <gamers@audyssey.org>

Generally, I like to use my torpedoes on the two destroyers and the aircraft
carrier, but I prefer the gun for the Cargo ships.

Best Regards,
Hayden

First, go through the user's manual and notice what keys are used for
viewing and tracking, operating the torpedo doors and deck gun, and how and
when to fire.
Keep in mind that the mission statement says that you should not move your
ship. There is no need to move or turn using your engines. Empty your
ballast with f12 until you rise to 10 feet. Then open your torpedo doors.
Then use f11 until your ballast is at 50 percent if you wish. There is no
need to raise the periscope during this mission. Use the v key to see what
it sees. Now, use your tracking device on the cargo ship. At the highest
beep, fire 1 or 2 torpedoes. Then use the v key again after they hit the
target, and do the same with the more quickly moving destroyer. Keep in
mind that only 4 torpedoes are loaded. Now, close the torpedo doors until 4

torpedoes are loaded, open the doors, and start looking for the second cargo

ship. It will get very close to you. Track it, and fire 1 or 2 torpedoes
at almost the highest beep. Close the doors and wait until 4 torpedoes are
loaded, then open the doors. Start looking for the aircraft carrier with
the r key. That's radar. When you see it, start looking with the v key
again. When you see it, get ready to fire torpedoes at it. At almost the
highest pitch fire one, wait for about a second, then fire another, then the

third and fourth. Raise the deck gun in case you need it to sink the
carrier.. After the 4 torpedoes are fired, close the doors and wait until
at least 2 more are loaded, then open the doors. Use the v key to find the remaining cargo ship, track it and fire at the highest beep. If you do all this right, you will successfully complete your first mission within the 15 minute time limit with no problem. If you don't, try it again. That's the
fun and replay value. You can also use the deck gun to sink ships, or use
it in combination with the torpedoes. That's the beauty of this game.
Everyone will develop their own way of completing the missions. Happy
subbing!

Hi everyone, now I'm all high-tech with my Jaws 11 and my demo of Loanwolf

I'd like to ask about targeing for mission 1. When my sub is still and I
hear it saying something like "Cargo ship detected 300 yards" I hear it's
engens so then move my left and right arrows to line up with the sound.
Then I open the doors and fire a torpedo but then it finds no target. I
have tried the same thing, but this time I've used my tracking device and
this time I end up with a lot of numbers being thrown at me, so when I
hear the beep and go to fire my torpedos I still can't seem to hit the
ship. I'm checking out Raul's fab recordings of Loanwolf, but like Time
of Conflict it's more a basic tutorial I'm needing, an idiots guide for
very scared audio gamer. <Smile>
