Hi jim.

Interesting, though I'd stil be concerned that the shot would basically fall down to that randomization factor sinse all percentages could just be worked out.

For example, say you were 90 yards from the green.

the pitching wedge has a max distance of 120 yards, thus to get a precise shot you'd just need to go 75 percent.

Yes, there is variation, but sinse you could always! be sure to go that 75 percent, the variation would make the difference thus making the a lot of shots an exercize in chance more than skill.

With the sound files though, not only do you need to select the right club and calculate the percentage, but then have precise enough timing to hit that percentage with the file.

This is actually a brilliant example of what I was talking about, sinse calculating the position on those sound files, as well as knowing what the right position is requires far more than just fast reactions, it also requires judgement and calculation.

this is probably why the golf game has been so popular.

Hi Dark,

In the original golf game, the amount of power that you could type in was from 1 to 99 percent of power. But the thing is, there is a bit of randomization built into the game. You know like You are 42 yards from the green and 18 yards off line. The off line is most of the randomization, but even the total yards that the shot travels varies because of the off line thing. And of course you had to learn how far that percent of power would drive your shot with each club. But as you surmised, even with that, it still needs the bit of randomization, or the game would be too easy.

TGIF and BFN
