Microsoft Windows 8 tablets will have Touch pressure-sensitive keyboards. When it is released later this year, the keyboards will detect different amounts of force on the keys. This could lead to fighting games that allow variable Punch and Kick strength, or car racing games with variable throttle and braking controls. Just imagine a racing game that allow you to go faster the harder you press the up arrow key, or a first person shooter where you can have different walking and running speeds or different jump heights based on how hard each key is depressed. " It will be more intuitive if you could jump higher or swing a club or bat harder by pressing harder on the key.
And You could have adjustable turning speeds in flight simulators,
You could turn a single shot gun into a machine gun by pressing harder,
and have adjustable strength tosses of bowling balls and baseballs.
There will probably have to be practice ranges so you can determine how far your golf shot will go based on the amount of pressure on the key. Other gaming applications could be pulling back the string on a bow to fire an arrow farther, or making sure you throw a grenade far enough to hit the monster.
