Hi Allan, Interesting. Espeak uses the Sapi 5 API for voice output on Windows so I don't know why it would work when other Sapi compliant voices wouldn't with games.
As far as ESpeak voice quality goes that is a matter of preference. Yes, I'll agree it is very robotic, but I use it every day with NVDA on Windos and with Orca on Linux and I find it more responsive and better than Eloquence in many cases.
