I face problem of segfault of gexec-0.3.6 with ganglia-3.0.3 too.
Thx for all your work, seems ganglia-3.0.4 has included the fix already.
But when I try to run ganglia-3.0.4 with gexec-0.3.6, I meet another error:
> gexec -n 0 hostname
gexec.c:173 Assertion failed
I find that similar assertion error is reported before in this mailling
list with subject:
"Problem of ganglia 3.0.3, libe 0.3.0 and gexec 0.3.6"
The OS is RHEL4 update 2.
The compiler is gcc-3.4.4-2
glibc-2.3.4
Thank you.

while the original libe package llist.h is:
typedef struct _llist_entry {
struct _llist_entry *prev; /* Previous entry on list */
struct _llist_entry *next; /* Next entry on list */
void *val; /* Entry value */
} llist_entry;
the "libe" version looks more textbook like. I think we should take it
:-)
okay, fixed in ganglia trunk.
Looking at the gexec SVN tree I saw that it includes older versions of gexec,
libe and authd. The libe version we have didn't have llist.h included, yet. So
maybe this should be the first step, to update these packages to the latest
versions.
