HI Gasification Colleagues,

While we wait for the World to run out of fossil fuels and gasification can
make us all a fortune, I thought some of you might appreciate having a look at
a parallel technology, an associate of mine (John Miedema) has been promoting.
There is nothing exclusive about making biochar, but his work shown as a Power
Point presentation in Oregon a few weeks ago in late October, has a vast amount
of information that should be shared to a wider audience.

Gasification does play a role in this project, but only to supply gas to the
retort, which without , this project would still be on the drawing board. The
gasifier is a Pacific Class, one we made, like 22 years ago, and is a good
example of how when all the connections can be made, the door of opportunity
can be opened to facilitate work in related technologies.

You can download it as a PDF file from the Fluidyne Archive
www.fluidynenz.250x.com listed as Thompson Timber, but it is not readable
straight off the Archive like the
other Files I post.

I should also be able to show you more photos when I return later in December,
of the Californian Andes Class project. It's been a very busy year of
researching the high speed char formation and evolution through the gas making
bed, in preparation for next years development programme, and now with the grid
connection permit at last approved, we will be running the Tecogen 27x7, so
long as "Murphy" stays at home during the next few weeks. (:-)

Doug Williams,
Fluidyne Gasification.
