The return of the fumble had them starting their drive on their 32. Also, it gave them momentum. Had we kicked off they'd have been looking at a 24 point deficit. Given Kiffin's lame play calling designed to keep it close rather than try to win - when they did have a chance - we can only imagine what kind of shell they'd have gone into after a Gator TD at that point.
