UF receivers coach Gonzales leaves for LSU

Florida wide receivers coach Billy Gonzales is leaving Gainesville to become the passing game coordinator at LSU, according to sources close to both programs.
Gonzales has been Urban Meyer's wide receivers coach since 2001, when Meyer first became a head coach at Bowling Green.
Gonzales, one of the top recruiters on Meyer's staff, is the second UF assistant to move on in two days. Defensive coordinator Charlie Strong was named the head coach at Louisville on Wednesday.
The departure of Gonzales comes on the eve of a big recruiting weekend for the Gators.
Gonzales was considered a candidate to replace Dan Mullen as the Gators' offensive coordinator a year ago, but the job went to offensive line coach Steve Addazio.
