This isn't good news, IMO, particularly with the big recruiting weekend coming up.
I don't know enough about the performance of the receivers this year to judge Gonzales. Were they open and Tebow failed to find them? Why the dropped passes? Etc. However, I do know our offense struggled, and I know Gonzales put his name in for the OC position last year and didn't get it (I'm not saying he should have -- I don't know anything about the internal workings of the coaching staff). But what is "Passing Game Coordinator?" The passing game is half the offense. Wouldn't a good receivers coach be Passing Game Coordinator by default? Sounds like a Co-OC position, in many respects, although it might be interesting to see who is calling the plays there next year. I just hope Meyer can find someone good to take his place, and quickly. Go Gators!!!! Ken B.
