Actually is just proves that coaches off winning programs are hot commodities and that all the recognition the program has received over the last few years is paying off for these guys and they are getting a chance to move up the coaching ladder. The unfortunate part is that to move up the coaching ladder usually means you have to move to some other team. Gonzales knows that under the current situation, his chances for advancement are limited and that he has to move on to move up. Now, we are going to find out how good a coaching recruiter Meyer is. Gonzales, one of the top recruiters on Meyer's staff, is the second UF assistant to move on in two days. Defensive coordinator Charlie Strong was named the head coach at Louisville on Wednesday. The departure of Gonzales comes on the eve of a big recruiting weekend for the Gators.
