That Meyer is a terrible guy to work for and that because so many of our players are leaving this year, no one wants to be around this looser program next year, so jump ship while the jumping is good.
Actually is just proves that coaches off winning programs are hot commodities and that all the recognition the program has received over the last few years is paying off for these guys and they are getting a chance to move up the coaching ladder. The unfortunate part is that to move up the coaching ladder usually means you have to move to some other team. Gonzales has been Urban Meyer's wide receivers coach since 2001, when Meyer first became a head coach at Bowling Green. Gonzales, one of the top recruiters on Meyer's staff, is the second UF assistant to move on in two days. Defensive coordinator Charlie Strong was named the head coach at Louisville on Wednesday. The departure of Gonzales comes on the eve of a big recruiting weekend for the Gators.
