I don't want to get into politics here, but this is being provided through 
private donations.  If I give money for a statue that I would like to have 
built, wouldn't it seem that it's OK to do that even if people are being layed 
off?  It's not like money that would have been spent on the professors, is 
being redirected to the statue.  Right?  Don't shoot me, I'm just asking if I'm 
correct in my thought?
