Our OL is suppose to be the strength of our team. Our third string should
have been able to push Miami of Ohio around. IN a game like today - we
should have seen some HUGE holes opened up. I didn't see that. There is no
excuse for their performance today.
I think at the end of the year, we'll see that Miami is a decent team.
I don't think they end up 1-11 this year. Regardless, I agree with you;
we should have opened up more and bigger holes for the running game.
<< Drayton = fumbles>>
Don't know that I can blame Drayton. Gillislee had a fumble where the guy
did an excellent job of stripping the ball. I am shocked but glad that they
put Gillislee right back in. I guess Moody dropped a pitch. I think the
screwed up exchange between Brantley and Moody - don't know if you can blame
Drayton. Most of the fumbles were bad snaps. We shall see as the season
goes on. But you are correct - we did hire Drayton's replacement because he
was some specialist about holding on to the ball.
Other than the Gillislee fumble, I was thinking of Rainey fumbling after
a catch, and Demps at the end of a run. As for the Brantley/Moody
exchange, I think that was caused more by a poor snap than anything.
