I would ask Hines which WR position he wants to play - and put him there. The other WRs can fight for a position. Hines is the only WR that wants to play. I would start Gillislee over Demps and Moody. Moody did nothing. He's suppose to be healthy, this is his money year - and he played like that? Demps kept getting arm tackled. The one long run Demps had - I don't think anyone touched him. Demps is great running track. Not so great when they can hit him. Gillislee ran like a RB possessed. That is what I expect out of Demps and Moody - but didn't see it. I would give Rainey a pass today and not be too critical. Perhaps Hines would be better for the slot? But then we obviously don't have a $#%$ TE !!! Once the defense settled down - they played great. I guess they had one series in the second half where they lost focus. If it were not for a great defense - we might have lost to Miami of Ohio ! I thought considering the snaps being dribbled back to him - Brantley did very well. I think at the half he was 9 of 11 and of the two incompletions - one was the drop by Thompson and the other was a drop by Moore? Hits them in the hands and they drop it. Burton looked good - but I would have rather seen him focusing on - and taking snaps at QB (real stuff - not just goal line) for when Brantley gets hurt. I can see now why they closed practice. 26 yards in 3 quarters? That is shameful. What happened to our kicking? We are suppose to have incredible punter and place kicker. IN fact, all the special teams - did not look special. I can't explain why the snaps from center were so bad, but as far as the OL performance overall, I saw a lot of names I didn't expect to see. For example, I saw a lot of Halapio. I also saw Harrison and Silberman. Maybe some of the starters got injured, and that's why there was no push from the OL. I know Wilson was injured, but they didn't mention the extent. I don't care what the coaches say, Rainey is no Harvin. That's not a knock on Rainey; Harvin is simply the best football player I've ever seen. Rainey got a number of touches, but didn't make a significant play that I can remember. Drayton = fumbles, in my book. As soon as he left, the fumbles went away. As soon as he returns, the fumbles come back. He may be a good recruiter, but he leaves a lot to be desired as a running backs coach. I saw Carl Moore take a big hit to his back. Hopefully, he didn't get injured again. Deonte Thompson looked like he dropped that TD pass early, but it was clearly interference that wasn't called.
