Wanda, No offense taken, I know what you mean and I hate it when the crowd boos and such. It is just frustrates me to have 3 cupcakes a year at $45 a ticket ($75/ticket when you add Booster Fees) and they start them at noon or so; and then gouge you for $1 "free" water and run out and nickel and dime us with drinks and radios. It is just like everything else, it is about the money and not about building trust with the fans and taking care of us; after all, we are the backbone support of the whole Athletic Association. This is from a guy who has put his time, money and effort into UF; I was the Volusia County Gator Club president and member of the Alumni Assn board for 9 years in the 1980s and 1990s and a season ticket holder since the 1970s. For the people who do not have season tickets, you can pick 4 games and pay $350 a ticket and come out ahead, when compared to the season ticket holders who have to pay for the cupcake games AND the Booster fees.....do the math, it works. Hey, I hear we have a great basketball team and I can't wait to go to some games and I love the Gators and UF. I just wish it was not so driven by money. Fran

I apologize if anyone on this list took offense to my "fair weather" comment...I certainly do not consider anyone here as fair weather fans!!!! I believe all of us have been Gators and will always be Gators "thru ALL kinds of weather". I have always thought of those peeps who crawl out of the woodwork, with no loyalty to the team except for a winning program, as "fair weather" fans. Gators Forever!! :-) Wanda ----- Original Message ----- From: "jfranl" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, November 20, 2010 7:44 PM Subject: [gatortalk] Fair weather > I have season tickets and I gave mine away today for a number of reasons. > This is the 3rd game at noon or around noon and I am tired of that.
