With Brantley we have that option of taking a run at a pro style offensive mind... but we have him for only one more year. All the other QBs are pure spread types.
SOS didn't really have any magical elixir. His offense was not that far removed from a pro-set. He was innovative in the routes and timing and brought a passing game to the traditional running conference. He featured the pass instead of the run. He attacked the weak pass defenses that were more suited to stopping the run. He still ran 2 back sets and I formations.
