Very good point. But Driskell from everything I have heard and been
told... can pass very very well and has operated well under center.

SOS didn't really have any magical elixir. His offense was not that
far removed from a pro-set. He was innovative in the routes and
timing and brought a passing game to the traditional running
conference. He featured the pass instead of the run. He attacked
the weak pass defenses that were more suited to stopping the run.
He still ran 2 back sets and I formations. He just pushed that ball
vertically and forced the slower, run supporting safeties and
linebackers to pass coverage.

Not questioning your opinon, because it's a valid point, Scott. If
I recall we had Donald Douglas at QB and some questionable receivers
and SOS sure made something special out of that group, so....??

To go away from that gives us at least 2-3 years of recruiting to
become stocked for the new offense.
Mullen brings the same philosophy and existing relationships. I am
not sure I necessarily want him here, but he is up and coming,
young, and capable. He also maintains the continuity in playing
styles that fits our existing players.
Of course, you could argue we have a lack of talent to explain this
year, but I call hogwash. Rudderless ships don't reach port.
