Scott, I know you are right. I would love to go back to a pro-set offense, which is more fun for us fans to watch and it will always seem better for placing kids in the NFL. Although, I know Meyer didn't do to bad with that in 2008 and 2009. Maybe it's all a myth? I'm just sick to death of the stinkin' dive play. Plus, the home run strategy of that offense seems to make one live or die by the "big play". If you have one, you win. If you don't have one, you lose. You don't seem to be so polarized with a pro-set offense. Am I wrong in my thinking?

To go away from that gives us at least 2-3 years of recruiting to become stocked for the new offense. Mullen brings the same philosophy and existing relationships. I am not sure I necessarily want him here, but he is up and coming, young, and capable. He also maintains the continuity in playing styles that fits our existing players. Of course, you could argue we have a lack of talent to explain this year, but I call hogwash.
