He said no, but his smile said yes. "Joking around," he said of some of the messages he got. "Not seriously upset." Muschamp calls himself "a Florida guy," in part because he spent nearly 10 years living in Gainesville, but he was born and played high school football in Rome, Ga., before playing four years with the Bulldogs. The reception among his friends with Georgia ties has been interesting.
