With the current rules, scholarships are renewed every year, for every player, 
and nothing is guaranteed.  If that is the case, take all we can now.  The ones 
that can't cut it after next year's crop, buh bye or man up.  

That's how you build competition and upper echelon players.

It's not like the coaching staff isn't aware of this need. There are a couple 
of highly thought of prospects that we're still in the mix for, but Coach Champ 
has to decide if he can't get the guys he really wants right now, whether he'd 
ratherĀ  get more 'bodies" and keep his fingers crossed that they'll develop 
enough to be effective, or to wait until the next crop (which may once again 
put him/us in the position of not being able to scrimmage/practice as hard as 
he'd like to).
