$2800 for an appliance is cheap?  You haven't been shopping lately.  When I priced the 
support plans, the cheapest reasonable one was about $600 per year.  That's over 20% 
of the cost of the unit.  That would not be too terrible except that they apparently 
want you to pay for that from day 1 now.

Which means they are violating the agreement issued when the GB-1000 was
purchased in January.  GTA has always offered free upgrades for the
first year.  Looks like this will be the final straw and I'm looking for
a new firewall.
