I am on the commit list, but missed the relevant change. I always do an svn update before and try again before reporting anything. Unfortunately I missed the fact I had to do the install-env step. Also as Adam has said the rebuild of gcc4 on Cygwin is a massive job, so we can only do it rarely and not for every single update. I know the changes you made weren't for fun, but I don't deliberately ignore them or report problems for fun either. Unfortunately I'm only human and can easily miss relevant changes. It would help us if you told us if we needed to rebuild gcc4 before an attempt to build firefox2. Hopefully I'll remember install-env next time and I always do the svn update anyway.
