The only thing that has ever sent mine off-feed is parasite loads,
exacerbated, I expect, by importation stress and all those fun things. (I
assume that they aren't brand-new, cold, or under some other obvious source
of temporary stress that might cause a hunger strike until fixed.)
I hesitate to recommend presumptive worming, but it's hard to get a fecal
from an animal that isn't eating. You might be able to encourage them to
eat a bit by dabbing a palatable slurry on their noses---something like a
mixture of chicken baby food and Ensure. That may get you a fecal sample
and keep enough food in their systems to keep them going, but by itself it
won't bring back an animal that's crashing because of parasites.
While we're on the subject, does anyone know what Glades' current
"_Stenodactylus arabicus_" are? Are those the ones that look like giant
versions of _sthenodactylus_, with a cute little upturned snout?
