Since Greg and others started talking about electronic ballasts, I've
converted most of my lights. I am seeing extended life on bulbs. I used
to buy cheap garage fixtures, and found they would eventually start to
eat bulbs! Besides lower power and higher output, electronic ballasts
are instant on and if one of two bulbs is bad, the good one will still
light. Well worth it IMO!
