Hey, guys and gals...
I have a "little" worry. I got my leo trio three
weeks this Sunday. The previous owner didn't do much
with them except put a dozen or so crickets in the
tank and a superworm or two about once or twice a
week. Since getting them, I have been only giving
them food that is in a dish deep enough for the leo to
get in, but the food can't get out. I separated them,
the females to a 20g long and the male to the original
tank. The male hasn't been eating great, but I am
not too worried because his tail is so fat... but it's
starting to bother me. One of the females, Dolly,
doesn't seem to be eating much at all. Originally,
she "seemed" the larger of the two, and Trixie seemed
smaller. Now it's the other way around. Her
breathing seems to be faster, but that could just be
because we are holding her to check her out. She
hasn't eaten much that I have seen. Trixie, her
companion, will quickly jump in the dish and finish
off 5-6 meal worms in a chop. Dolly seems skittish
and today I finally got her to eat one.... but that's
the only one I am SURE of.... should I be concerned at
this point? What signs should I be looking for? I am
VERY new to geckos but I really "feel" in my heart
there is a problem. I plan to set up another tank as
soon as the heatbulbs arrive to give her another tank,
if you think that Trixie is being too domininate
(spelling?) and hogging all the food! Please help! Thanks!
