Hi Laurie,
You don't need any fancy equipment to correct this low temp situation.
Also, your hot rock is causing way more problems that it is worth. Just
get a reflector lamp and play with the light bulb wattage (a regular
incandscent bulb is all you need) until you get that desired basking
temp range of 86-88F. More details on proper set-up and inexpensive
