Ages ago there was a post that described a "gek trap". As I recall, it
consisted of
a deep plastic bucket (like one that joint compound comes in), a clip on
light directed into the bucket to make it a hot place, some sort of food
item in the bottom to further
entice entry and calcium carbonate powder in the bottom. The idea was
that the
gek would go into the bucket, get the CaCO3 powder on its feet and
become "unstickified", so that it could not get back out.
I have no idea if this would work, but it sounded good.
