I have been hand feeding a Fat Tailed Gecko (very similar to Leopard
Gecko) for 7 months. One of the things I learned the hard way was how to
get them to open their mouth. I put some of the puree on one nostril and
along the edge of the mouth. The gex will start licking and then you can
squirt a little at a time while he licks. My gecko will now snap at the
syringe. When he does I squirt a bunch of the food in his mouth. I have
also started squirting a little puree and holding a cricket, roach, or
Zoophoba next to his mouth and when he snaps, in goes the bug.

Good luck,
Cyndy
