Also,
aren't the giant aldabra tortoises descended from a few females that survived
poaching? I think I heard that. And pet ferrets live so short because of
how inbred they are. Their imune systems are crap. So maybe instead of
external deformities, inbreeding may cause internal defects in some cases?
Although not inbreeding, Lepidodactylus lugubris is the result from 4 or so
matings between a L. modestus and L. ssp. Thought some would like to hear
that! Read it on some article recently.
