Could be that correct cover wasn't provided vertically?  Perhaps even under
lichen, moss, bark, epiphytes..?  It's clear by their body form that they're
not going to need a similar terrarium to Uroplatus in the form of smooth
logs or branchy stems.  They're large enough to need some pretty loose
bark(!), something along the lines of Eucalyptus?  Maybe more likely is
living in hollows or breaks?

I'm sure we're going to be reaching the same people  :)

I forgot to mention....I tried a couple in chameleon cages, screen with
lots of plants and drip methods.
