Yes, I remember the plant - Bryophyllum (Kalanchoe) daigremontana (not sure
of exact spelling), as I pointed it out to this guy. He was wanting to
yank some of it up. Not a rare plant, just that it was growing in a lot
under heavy construction right along beach-side in Daytona. I saw some of
the largest specimens I have ever seen for the species in this lot. This
plant does well in enclosures, and if you notice the Quedenfeldtia
terrarium photograph of mine in the most recent GEKKO, the large plant is
this very species. The smaller plant is Haworthia attenuata.

Speaking of Kalanchoe/Bryophyllum, the species tubliflora is another I use
in the terrarium and it is from Madagascar and puts out beautiful little
flowers once or twice a year.

<< File: ATT00013.html >> Jon, I remember last year at Daytona, someone
(his first name ends in "y")
showed me this plant growing in an empty lot he said it was a very hardy
desert plant and African in origion. He said you both were confused as to
what it was doing here. What was that plant? Do you remember?
