I use a 20G (long) aquarium, so the height of the tank is about 13". I think that's not very low, is it??? And no, I use normal house-hold bulbs... Well, actually, the only bulb I got that is as low as 25W is a nocturnal reptile light, but the rest is just house-hold bulbs. Anyways, it seems like everyone agrees that it is surface temp. and not air temp. that counts, so I'll go ahead and change it. Thanks!
