thanks lyle, kenny,
now that the possibility of infection is in my mind it seems fairly
probable. i have plenty of logs and cork bark for the geckos to climb on
kenny, and have noticed the prehensile nature of their tails while they are
moving about so i'm leaning more towards the infection explanation. the
change did occur quickly and recently (i'd say within a couple weeks). the
tail is definitely thicker near the base and a little off center (almost
like a growth to one side). if it is an infection, how would i determine
the cause so as to fix it? will it clear up on its own if conditions are
kept very clean and sterile or would medication be necessary?
thanks again,
nathan
