I am wondering what substrate you're using. On occasion, I've seen
an almost allergic reaction to some of the bedding-type substrates.
A day or two after changing the substrate to newspaper, or another
known inert bedding, the eye cleared on its own.
Unless you know for sure it is an unshed eye cap, you may want to
change bedding.
