Hi Lisa--

I don't think it's anything to be concerned about. In fact, it is probably
a good sign. Often, when a gecko is treated for parasites, it will put on a
little weight afterwords. Particularly since your leo is "almost" adult,
this is probably what is going on. As long as the shed is normal (that is,
comes off completely and in a timely manner), all is well! :-)

Best,

JenB

Subject: [Gecko] Shedding

Hi,

How often on average to Leopard geckos shed? My adult/ almost adult female
Leopard gecko has shed twice since May 3. She did come from a stressful
environment and now has her own enclosure. She is finishing up treatment
for trichmonads. Otherwise, she seems to be in good shape and is eating
well. Do I need to be concerned about the shedding?

Thanks,

Lisa H.
