Depends on why you are preserving it. Formalin causes some changes inSystematics = either, though many prefer alcohol
tissues - particularly changes in color. Alcohol does this to a lesser
degree.

He's going to one of three places out west; some people are doing various studies with his family (tinctorus). I didn't have a choice but to use an isopropyl/distilled water solution; they are checking with the lab to see if they can still extract DNA with that (he said they prefer everclear).
