Catriona,
How should i get a fecal sample if most of the time they defecate runny useless stools? Very seldom do they defecate something hard that may be useful.
What would you do in this instance? Because i will more than gladly take another sample in, but that's if a good one ever becomes available.
Thanks
-Sam
"As for the runny stools in your geckos, pinworms do not usually cause
that problem, but some other parasites can. I think this is why Dr.
Benson was suggesting that you check a few more fecal samples. Your vet
may not have seen other parasites in the feces, because the parasites may
not have been shed in that particular sample. Another parasite we are
starting to see more and more of is cryptosporidia. This parasite does
cause diarrhea and weight loss and is best detected using an acid fast
stain.
Catriona"
