That photo (H.turcicus) does look like what I have...although this little guy is SO small it is hard to tell just yet. What is the "common name" for that species by the way?
Yes, I am quite concerned about ID-ing this guy... why I asked here. Tomorrow I will try to see if there is a vet nearby with experience in exotics that may be able to tell me...I don't really trust the local pet store, hehe.
I also read that Texas Bandeds were more in the New Mexico type region...why I thought Dallas might seem a bit too far removed. It's unlikely this guy came from someone's terrarium, as it is a fairly small office... no geckos that we know of. ;) We thougth maybe it could have escaped from a nearby house or something, but it seems unlikely that it could have gotten all the way into the office.
As soon as my husband gets home, I will see if we can scan a picture of him if anyone might like to see it... would be much easier to ID him that way I think.
