Take a 2 liter coke/pop/soda bottle and and cut off the top of the bottle at the top of the label. Place food items in the bottle and place the top back on the bottle, with the opening facing inwards, instead of outwards as it normally does. Once the gecko/s go into the bottle to get the food, they find it rather difficult to make it back out again.
It might not work, but its worth a try.
