Hmm, this makes me nervous. I got the meds from the vet yesterday and started treating (Novotrimel and Metronidazole). I asked if I could get a parasite count in the fecal but they told me they only do positive/negative. This didn't sound right to me since how can they tell if the meds are working or not? I am going to follow through with this last regimen the vet has given me. One of the geckos has some slight diarrhea which does seem to be clearing up. If I don't see a clear up of at least the trichomonas and entamoeba (which apparently affect humans, too) I will show him your suggestion and see what he has to say. My vet has also told me that he doesn't like giving more than one med but he has chosen to do it this time. If I see any signs of weakness I'm pulling the Novotrimel. Unfortunately, it's the metronidazole they seem to dislike.
Thanks again, Neil. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Neil Meister" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, April 22, 2004 1:34 AM Subject: Re: [gecko]Re: LTC uroplatus with coccidia > Hi Mike, > > Thanks for all the compliments!
