Hi Julie, I have four of Doug's acrylic cages. I like them very much.
I have two 12x12x16 (inches) in which I keep 1.1 Phelsuma klemmeri and 0.1 P. klemmeri. I have two 16x16x20 (inches) in which I keep 1.1 P. laticauda laticauda and 1.1 Rhacodactylus ciliatus. One thing I have noticed is that the presen cages have a clear acrylic door only. My 12x12x16 (inches) were purchased several years ago and not only have a clear acrylic door, but the door fram is also acrylic. The larger cages I have as well as the ones I have seen at shows only have a clear acrylic door, where the door frame is an opaque white. I like the clear frames personally. Having said all that, the cages have been working out very well for me and my geckos. They are all still water tight. I have had no warping of the door. All four have the majority of the top open and covered in screen (1 or 1.5 inch border of plastic around the screen top, which lets in lots of light). Non of the front doors have frosted or yellowed. The non front door sides are all easy to drill holes into with regular drills (intended for wood). Yuri ---- some of what Julie wrote ---- Still deep in boxes from moving (!) , I am starting to formulate a plan for modernizing my new gecko room. I like Doug Barr's terrariums, has anyone here used them? http://www.herpcages.com/cages/cprice2.html Julie Bergman _______________________________________________ Global Gecko Association http://www.gekkota.com Classifieds http://www.gekkota.com/cgi-gekkota/classifieds.cgi gecko mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.gekkota.com/mailman/listinfo/gecko
