Well AFAICT danmc seems to be the only committer of the footprints in
PCB CVS under newlib/ so maybe we just ask him about those.

sorry, those were in the pcb sources already when I imported them to sourceforge. It is not clear at all where they all came from.

Now the m4 footprints in many ways I think are easier to deal with. If you do something with the footprint, it is not directly the "sources" but rather and output from a batch of macros. newlib footprints on the other hand are basically direct copies.

It has never been my intention that footprints I've created be restricted in any way in their use.
