I am on the road, working on a tight deadline. My primary engineering machine is 2000 miles away. I do not grok git and patches. My experience with building gEDA from source is there's usually at least one little puzzle to solve. Maybe in September I will have time to try it, but in the mean time all I have time to give you is an opinion.
