IMHO, if such a program is supposed to do its job without manual interaction, it is no better than a heavy symbol lib. They both need to be maintained locally to fit the local requirements. I like the way, the kicad tutorial shows basic operations -- move a track, change properties, etc. One of them just caught my eye: /------------ To change an existing track's width, first change the overall program's track width using the dialog as before or the pull-down menu, and then right click on the trace. Via sizes are changed the same way. \------------ This is awkward when you just need to increase/decrease line thickness a little bit. The one key interface of pcb is definitely better at this. However, if the need is to set a size to a specific value, the kicad way is more efficient. Can we have both, please? That is, an interactive increment/decrement and a GUI way to set a size to a specified value. ---<(kaimartin)>--- -- Kai-Martin Knaak http://lilalaser.de/blog _______________________________________________ geda-dev mailing list [email protected] http://www.seul.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/geda-dev
